Restaurant.com is an online network of thousands of restaurants across the United States– including some of the hottest names in dining. You can find member restaurants near you using the Restaurant.com search engine, and learn more about each restaurant by viewing their "microsite" which features menus and wine lists.
When you find restaurants you’d like to visit, you can buy Gift Certificates for a fraction of the actual value. Some participating restaurants also offer online reservations.

After you complete your purchase, you will be taken to a page with a link to each Gift Certificate. You can print your Gift Certificates using your computer and printer. (To print, simply click the blue link to open the page. Once you can see the Gift Certificate on screen, click file, and then print to send to your printer.)
Your Gift Certificates are also available in "My Account" on the Restaurant.com site. Simply login with your email address and password and you will have access to all of your previous purchases. (To print, click the Gift Certificate number. This will take you to the Gift Certificate Summary; click the red link view and print certificate to open the page. Once you can see the Gift Certificate on screen click file then print to send to your printer.)
Restaurant.com also sends you a confirmation email with links to your Gift Certificates, which may be used to print your certificates at a later time.

6. How do I keep track of my Restaurant.com Gift Certificates?
Restaurant.com provides you with a self–managed tool in their site’s "My Account" to keep track of your Gift Certificates. This self–managed system will only display a certificate as "used," if you mark it as "used." This tool allows you to mark a certificate as "used," note to whom you gave the certificate, if it was given as a gift, make notes for yourself about the restaurant and view and print your certificate. This system is provided as a purchase management system only and is not updated by Restaurant.com with the exception of adding certificates you have purchased.
7. How can I pay for my order?
Restaurant.com accepts Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover and PayPal for all orders. They also accept Give Anything.com Gift Certificates along with their own Restaurant.com Gift Certificates.
8. How do I know my credit card information is secure?
Any credit card information you submit to Restaurant.com is encrypted and completely secure.
The Restaurant.com team takes security seriously and takes numerous precautions to protect their customer’s personal information. When users submit sensitive information via the Website (e.g. credit card information), such information is protected both on– and offline. They encrypt certain sensitive information using Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology to ensure that visitors’ information is safe as it is sent over the internet to their server. 9. Does Restaurant.com have gift options?
Restaurant.com offers Restaurant.com Gift Certificates that give your recipient the gift of choice. The gift certificates can be redeemed at "www.theidealmeal.com" for Gift Certificates nationwide or one of many online merchants. This is a redemption only site so your gift recipient will see all of their options, but not your savings.
You may customize and print the certificate or for an instant gift you can email the customized certificate directly to your recipient’s email address. Please Note: all Restaurant.com Gift Certificates must be redeemed online prior to using at a restaurant or at an online merchant.
10. What do I do if I attempt to use a Gift Certificate and the restaurant is closed or not accepting my Gift Certificate?
This is a rare issue but sometimes restaurants go out of business or change owners without informing Restaurant.com. If you attempt to use a valid Restaurant.com Gift Certificate and the restaurant is closed or not accepting your certificate, please contact Restaurant.com customer service department. You may reach them by email at info@restaurant.com (include your Gift Certificate number) or call 800.979.8985 (M – F 9 AM – 5 PM CST).
The customer service department will exchange your unused Gift Certificate for a credit to Restaurant.com. This will allow you to choose another restaurant or merchant certificate from Restaurant.com.
