Please Note: The contribution to your Upromise account is not available to transfer to qualified plans (e.g. IRA) or Section 1035 exchanges (e.g. rollovers), due to the tax consequences created by the contribution. As such, Upromise's relationship with CollegeSense will terminate effective with this consolidation. Effective March 27, 2008, Upromise members will no longer be able to establish or change links from their Upromise account to a CollegeSense 529 account. On or about April 11th, Upromise will perform a final transfer of allocated Upromise rewards of $25 or more from members' Upromise accounts into their linked CollegeSense accounts. The transfer will typically take 2 to 5 business days to be reflected in your 529 account. CollegeSense account owners can continue to use the Upromise service to earn college savings. To request a check from Upromise, you must complete and submit the attached Rewards Withdrawal Request Form located at http://www.upromise.com/pdfs/fund_withdrawal_request.pdf requesting a withdrawal from your Upromise account. This form must state your full name and the exact amount you would like to withdraw, up to the total amount available in your account. Pending contributions are not eligible for withdrawal. For the protection of members, your letter must be notarized or contain a Signature Guarantee for withdrawal requests in excess of $200. A Signature Guarantee is a guarantee you can obtain from a financial institution, such as your bank, that your signature is yours and that it is genuine. Checks are sent once per calendar quarter, so you typically will receive your check within 12 weeks of your request. The completed Withdrawal form should be sent to:
