How do I receive contributions from dining?

  • You receive contributions by dining at participating restaurants and paying with a credit card that you have registered in your Upromise account. There's no need to identify yourself as a Upromise member to the participating restaurant.
  • To receive your contribution, be sure to pay your bill with a credit card that you have registered in your Upromise account.
  • Not all restaurants accept all credit cards. The cards accepted at any given restaurant are generally listed in the Credit Cards section of the restaurant information page. If you are in doubt about a restaurant's card acceptance, please call the restaurant directly.
  • You can find information about contributions at any participating restaurant, including restrictions if any, by clicking on the name of the restaurant on the restaurant search results page or on the 'click here to get details' link.

How do I get contributions tonight?

Follow these steps and you will receive your contribution automatically:

  1. Locate a participating restaurant that interests you via our online restaurant search.
  2. Read the details we provide about that restaurant. Information includes contribution amount (4% or 8% of your total bill), day of week restrictions if any, and cuisine type, address and phone number.
  3. Dine at that restaurant when a contribution is being offered.
  4. Pay with a credit card you've registered and that has been validated in your Upromise account.

It's that simple! When you pay with a credit card you've registered with Upromise, we track your dine and automatically award your contributions. Your contribution will be processed and posted within approximately 10-14 business days of your dine.
