Upromise TurboSaver is a web browser add-on which helps you maximize your college savings by alerting you to potential online savings opportunities with Upromise partners when you are online. Here are a few important features:

Visit www.upromise.com/turbosaver and follow the simple instructions. Downloading is easy and takes just seconds!

How it works:

1.	Install Upromise TurboSaver on your computer. It's free and takes just seconds to download.
2.	Once installed, Upromise TurboSaver will be ready to use on your browser.
3.	When you visit a Upromise Online Shopping partner's website, you will be alerted to the college savings opportunity and prompted to click 'Get my College Savings'. After clicking the 'Get My College Savings' button, you will be eligible for college savings from purchases on that partner's website.
	IMPORTANT: You will not receive college savings from purchases on that partner's website if you do not click on the 'Get My College Savings' button.
4.	When you visit a Upromise Offline partner's website, Turbosaver will display a notification bar with a link to information on how to save with that partner.
5.	When you visit a participating Upromise Dining restaurant's website, TurboSaver will display a notification bar with a link to information on how to save with that restaurant.

TurboSaver will operate on: We currently do not support any web browser other than those listed above, including Safari, Chrome or any browser on Linux. In order to receive college savings when shopping online, you must use the browser in which TurboSaver was installed.

In Hidden Mode, you will still see a notification bar slide down that reminds you to "Get your Upromise savings" while shopping online, but you won't see the full toolbar.

Instead, depending on which browser you use, you'll see a Upromise icon at the top or bottom of your screen. This icon serves as a menu that you can use to expand TurboSaver to Full Mode, to get help or to easily uninstall.

In Full Mode, the toolbar is displayed with all available features. Access grocery eCoupons, important messages, coupons & deals, new Upromise savings alerts and more!

*Offline merchants and Upromise participating restaurants will populate a grey savings indicator light since you cannot save with them by making an online purchase with them.

Why does my TurboSaver look different than the picture shown above?

You may have an older version of TurboSaver. To upgrade to the latest version, visit www.upromise.com/turbosaver.

You can turn the Savings Display on or off by clicking on the Upromise logo and selecting Options. Or you can click here to turn the Savings Display on or off.

TurboTips are bits of information we present on your screen to help you get the most out of TurboSaver.

You can turn TurboTips on or off by clicking on the Upromise logo and selecting Options. Or you can click here to turn TurboTips on or off. Even if you turn off TurboTips you may still see an occassional TurboTip presented.

You can change the notification bar display time by clicking on the Upromise logo and selecting Options. At the bottom of the Options window you will be able to change the display time. Or you can click here to go directly to the Options page.

The Upromise logo and dollar sign indicate a participating Upromise merchant in organic search results on Google or yahoo!
The Upomise logo and dollar sign in Citysearch and Yelp search results indicate a restaurant participating in the Upromise Dining program.

Clicking on the dollar sign or the Upromise logo in Google or Yahoo! will display merchant details including coupons and deals.

Clicking on the dollar sign or the Upromise logo in Yelp or Citysearch will bring you to the restaurant details.

The display of the Upromise logo and dollar sign in the searches mentioned above are intended to aid you in identifying Upromise merchants and restaurant participating in the Upromise Dining program. Because participating Upromise merchants and restaurants can vary frequently. please see www.upromise.com for the most up to date information including any terms and conditions for a particular merchant or restaurant.

You should allow it to update the software. Periodically we update the Upromise TurboSaver for various reasons such as helping you find more ways to save and/or to fix bugs.

TurboSaver was not built to support multiple users on the same web browser, so TurboSaver will typically configure itself according to the Upromise member who was last logged into his/her Upromise account or was cookied by Upromise on that computer. However, if two people use two different web browsers on the same computer (i.e., if you use Internet Explorer and the other user uses Mozilla Firefox) then you could each install TurboSaver on your preferred browser while using the same computer.

Upromise TurboSaver can easily be used in conjunction with the Google toolbar, Yahoo! toolbar and many others. Do keep in mind, however, that you can search Google with the Upromise TurboSaver in Full Mode and may not need both.

In order to receive college savings with the help of TurboSaver you must have TurboSaver installed on the browser you are using, log in if prompted to do so, make a qualified purchase at a participating merchant, and click on the 'Get My College Savings' button in the notification bar. Remember, when in Full Mode the rewards light must be green. If you are still not receiving college savings after making qualified purchases, please follow the instructions to complete a missing contribution form.

Personalized Offers is an optional feature of TurboSaver that Upromise may offer to users of TurboSaver Version 7.0 and above. If the Personalized Offers feature is offered, you will have the choice to enable it, or at any time thereafter, disable it if you so choose. The feature will allow you to be eligible to receive targeted college savings or other opportunities that may be especially relevant to you based on your online activity. For example, a Personalized Offer could include an advertisement or promotion presented to you or an e-mail or other invitation to take a survey for which you could earn a Upromise contribution. The types of Personalized Offers avaliable are subject to change at any time. The Personalized Offers feature in any version of TurboSaver prior to TurboSaver Version 7.0 has been disabled, whether or not you have it set to "enable" or "disable." To determine what version of TurboSaver you have, choose "About" in the TurboSaver menu and the version number of your TurboSaver application will be displayed.

For purposes of the Personalized Offers feature, online activity means information about the web pages you visit, including those designated as secure web pages by a locked padlock icon in Internet Explorer or FireFox. This may include the web site addresses (including the full URL) of the web pages you visit, certain data you enter in online forms and search fields, products placed in online shopping carts or actually purchased, information you give when completing an application form or checking your online accounts, certain advertisements or videos that you view, and similar information.

For the Personalized Offers feature, Upromise requires the toolbar provider to use industry standard methods designed to prevent collection and transmission of information that identifies you personally. You should be aware, however, that due to inconsistencies in the ways web sites identity data fields, it is possible that when the Personalized Offers feature is enabled, TurboSaver may collect and transmit personally identifiable information, including potentially sensitive data. Upromise will never use this kind of personally identifiable information, and we prohibit the toolbar provider from doing so.

• Which browser are you using? Firefox, Microsoft Internet Explorer, Other?
• Which version of the browser are you using?
• In Firefox, you can locate your browser version going to help -> About Mozilla Firefox
• In Internet Explorer, you can locate your browser version by going to help -> About Internet Explorer. (Note: This only shows if the menu bar is visible. If the menu bar is not visible, right-click directly below the Internet Explorer address bar and click 'Menu Bar'.)
• What operating system and version are you running? Windows XP, Vista, Windows 7? Mac OSX?
• What version of the toolbar are you using?
• This can be seen in the "About" section of the TurboSaver menu. You can also find the 'About' section by clicking on the Upromise logo in your menu bar or system tray.

• Do you have other browser add ons/toolbars (e.g., Google, Yahoo!, MSN, or Ask Toolbars) Installed?
• Which ones and what versions?
• Can you see the toolbar?
• Can you see the system tray icon (for Internet Explorer) or the navigation bar icon (for Firefox)
• Note: For the system tray icon, it might get hidden, and you may have to click on the "Show hidden icons" button in the system tray.
• What happens if you uninstall the toolbar, reboot your machine, and then reinstall?
