Follow these steps and you will receive your contributions automatically into your Upromise account:
- Shop at a Borders, Waldenbooks, or Brentano's store or online at www.borders.com.
- Pay with a credit card you have registered and validated in your Upromise account.
It's that simple! When you pay with a credit card you've registered in your Upromise account, we track your shopping and automatically award your contributions. Generally, your contributions will be processed and posted within approximately 60-90 business days of your purchase.
Which Borders, Waldenbooks, and Brentano's locations participate in the Upromise service?
All Borders, Waldenbooks, and Brentano's locations participate in the Upromise service. In total, there are more than 1,000 locations throughout the United States. With such a large selection, the likelihood of finding a location in your metro area is very high. You can find specific Borders stores by searching here. You also can find specific Waldenbooks' stores by searching here. If you are unable to locate a Borders, Waldenbooks, or Brentano's store near you, you can shop at www.borders.com from the comfort of your home or office.

You can view all your transactions and contributions for each time you shopped at a Borders, Waldenbooks, Brentano's, or Borders.com in the Statements & Balances section of your Upromise account. For Borders, Waldenbooks, and Brentano's purchases, your contributions will generally post as pending to your Upromise account within 30-60 business days of purchase. For Borders.com purchases, your contributions will generally post as pending to your Upromise account within 60-90 days of purchase.
When shopping at Borders, Waldenbooks, or Brentano's, do I need to let the cashier know I'm a member of Upromise?
No. Once you have registered your credit card with Upromise, you receive contributions automatically. There is no need to notify the cashier that you are a Upromise member. When you shop at Borders.com, your purchase is also automatically tracked through your registered credit card.
Does Borders, Waldenbooks, Brentano's, or Borders.com share with Upromise the personal information I may give them?
