A Promise to Educate - Project 2018
Shoreline Chamber of Commerce Dollars for Scholars

When you join Upromise a percentage of your qualifying spending with hundreds of companies can go towards helping a Shoreline student. Just take a few minutes to join and setup your account and then your everyday spending could generate thousands of dollars in money for college for someone who really needs it.

The goal of Project 2018 is to provide financial assistance to every first grader entering the Shoreline School District in the fall of 2006 to be put toward the cost of an accredited college or trade school of their choice. By the year 2018, and each subsequent year, our objective is to provide scholarships equivalent to two years' tuition at Shoreline Community College. Your help is needed, since the number and amount of these scholarships will be determined by how consistently you and other community members participate.

The Shoreline Chamber has established a local chapter of the Dollars for Scholars program which is a national network of grassroots, volunteer-driven community groups raising money to provide scholarships and college-planning assistance to students. The Shoreline Chamber of Commerce is also proud to be teaming up with Upromise, whose free rewards program is designed to help individuals save for college.

How Upromise Works

As education costs continue to rise, families need to save more for college than ever before. Upromise is the way - we're mobilizing America's largest companies and most respected financial services providers to help families save more for college. When you join Upromise for free, leading companies will contribute a portion of your eligible spending with them into your Upromise account. You can then direct all or a portion of your rewards to an organization you'd like to help.

Start early, save more.
With Upromise, the college savings keep coming, day after day, year after year. The sooner you open a Upromise account, the more you could save for college.
