As you may have heard, on February 19, 2008, The Sharper Image filed a petition for bankruptcy. The Sharper Image recently informed us that effective as of May 31, 2008, they will no longer offer Upromise contributions through the Upromise service. While The Sharper Image has committed to fund the 3% member contribution for eligible purchases made between February 20, 2008 and May 30, 2008, we cannot guarantee such payments will be made. When and if they are made, we will promptly fund your account accordingly.

Unfortunately, due to this recent bankruptcy filing, any purchases made with The Shaper Image between January 1, 2008 and February 20, 2008 may or may not receive contributions depending on the final outcome of the bankruptcy and available funds for distribution to creditors. Upromise is unable to determine how long this process will take or whether member contributions will ultimately be funded in part or in whole. Until the courts complete this process, Upromise member contributions earned on The Sharper Image purchases between January 1, 2008 and February 20, 2008 currently displaying a pending status will remain in a pending status. As stated above, you will not receive any Upromise contributions on The Shaper Image purchases made on or after May 31, 2008.
